Charlotte Berent née Werner

born 11 July 1784, died 10 March 1864.

The identity of Charlotte Werner remains puzzling in many ways. According to the local church records, she was the widow of an instman and lived at the time of her death on 10 March 1864 in the village of Stobben near Klein-Steinort. According to these documents, however, she was only 31 years old at the time, which clearly contradicts the date of birth on her grave cross. This may be an error by the registrant or an erroneous reading of the document later.^[1]
